How it works

- Send each person their link. You get one private link per person to send by WhatsApp, text or email. Send each link only to the person it's for.
- Everyone opens their own link. It shows only who they're buying for. Nobody, not even the organiser, sees the full list, so you can take part too.
Secret Santa questions
How does the Secret Santa generator work?
Add the names of everyone taking part, plus a spend limit if you like, and press Draw names. You get one private link per person. Send each person their own link and when they open it, it shows only who they are buying for.
Can the organiser see who has who?
No. The organiser page lists each person's link and whether it has been opened, but not the matches, so the organiser can join in too. Each link does reveal one match, so send it only to the person it's for and only open your own.
Can someone draw their own name?
No. The draw always gives everyone somebody else, and every person is bought for exactly once.
Does anyone need an account or an email address?
No. There is no sign-up and we never ask for email addresses. You share the links yourself by WhatsApp, text, email or however your group chats.
What happens to the names?
They are used only to run your draw and are never used for marketing. Each draw is deleted automatically 60 days after it is made, or straight away if the organiser deletes it.
How much should we spend on Secret Santa?
